The Willow River Wilderness School
God and Nature

Created in

God's image

What was God’s intent when he created man in His image and how do we, as men, answer that call?

How do we provide safety to our family and community without being just “safe”?

How can we be fair-minded without being timid?

How can we be strong men without shadows of being abusive?

How can we be effectively assertive without being boorishly aggressive?

How can we present ourselves as an asset to our friends, family and church without the cocky swagger of the insecure macho male?

These courses are designed to move men toward that goal.

Though we are not directly affiliated, We embrace the intent of the Ransomed Heart Ministry and reccommend he book “Wild at Heart” by John Eldridge as a pre-requisite to joining these activities.

God and Nature

These offerings combine the physical skills of wilderness survival with related spiritual teachings from the Word of God.

Participation in the physical skills will give way to the allegory of the spiritual lessons.

Each offering addresses different skills and teachings to increase outdoor abilities and biblical knowledge.
